Professional Family Portrait FAQ's
Q. How long does a portrait session take?
A. Depending on the number of people and the amount of sub group as Family Portrait Session takes about 1 hour. During which we can shoot various poses and groups.
Q. What happens after the Family Portrait session?
A. After the Family Portraits are taken, we will arrange for you to visit the studio for a viewing session. It is much easier to select your pictures when they are projected on our 12 foot viewing screen. The viewing session can be later the same day (ideal if you have family members travelling from a distance), or within a week.
Q. Do you shoot Black and White Family Portraits?
A. In short, Yes! At your viewing session we will show you all your pictures in both colour and black and white.
Q. What should I wear for the Family Portrait Photo session?
A. Avoid heavily patterned and overly bright clothing, for more info see our full guide.
Q. How much is a Family Portrait session?
A. A sitting at our Strensall Studio, near York is £25. From there it is on a per print basis. Full price list here. All prints ordered include electronic versions for Facebook.
Q. Does the Studio have Car Parking onsite?
A. Yes, Off street parking is available, 5 meters from the studio door.

Q. Can we bring Pets?
A. Yes, the more the merrier! In the past we have taken Family Portrait Photographs with Dogs, Cats and even a Tortoise!
Q. What size Prints do you offer?
A. We offer a wide range of Prints and Finishes, in standard photographic sizes (so you won"t have any problems finding frames for them). View all our print sizes here.
Q. How long before the Finished Portrait Photographs are ready for collection?
A. Normally your prints will be ready within 14 days of your viewing session, however if there is a tighter deadline (birthday/anniversary etc etc), we can normally accommodate most requests.
